Steve Belyea

Steve's professional passion encompasses engine-related pursuits across multiple industries, including automotive, aerospace, motorcycles, and boats. His early interests in model cars and aircraft building led him to begin automotive restoration work at age 15.

He completed formal education in Electrical Engineering Technology at New Brunswick Community College in Saint John. His career included positions as an aircraft maintenance and fueling technician, during which he maintained his automotive interests.

His experience with aircraft fueling and tank-truck systems proved pivotal — he progressed to managing specifications and production for hundreds of custom heavy tanker trucks serving Canada's largest oil refinery and distribution company.

Steve's innovations in electronic control systems for fuel transfer safety and efficiency resulted in patent filings. He established BASE Engineering Inc. in 1996 to commercialize these developments.
