Ben Reid

Ben leads the design and development of high-performance electric motors using his expertise in electric motor design and manufacturing engineering. Over the past 3+ years he has led the development of numerous motor projects including a novel-architecture axial flux reluctance motor, high-performance permanent magnet motors, and more conventional motors such as induction and DC brushed.

He oversees the full product development lifecycle — from concept, design, and simulation through prototyping, machining, testing, and commercialization — while also being the primary technical contributor to sales and business development at VAT.
